Students of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) Entrepreneurship Cells (E Cells) at its 46 member academic institutes in Pune will celebrate Entrepreneurship Week India 2010 (E Week) from Saturday. A week-long campaign will also be held to build awareness and inspire public support for entrepreneurship in the country. Entrepreneurship Week India,supported by the Wadhwani Foundation and run by NEN,is led by over 500 member institutes,and 400 student E Cells from 30 cities across India,and involving 30 organisations that support entrepreneurship. This year’s E Week,said to be the biggest yet,will engage 5,00,000 participants – students,parents,friends and key members of the community – in thousands of activities and programs. These include competitions,expositions,educational movies screening,leadership and motivation talks with successful entrepreneurs,panel discussions,business plan and skills-building workshops,business and tech bazaars,awareness campaigns and more. The events will also involve corporate entities,industry captains,experts,non-profits and faculty mentors to encourage and guide students. This year’s E Week theme ‘India: Opportunities Within’ will focus the attention of young people to the daunting challenges India faces across many sectors: water,healthcare,energy,education,waste management and more,and the entrepreneurial opportunities in providing solutions to these challenges.,said a press release.
