The state government announced has the date of their “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2012 for all health sciences,engineering and pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2012-2013. The exam will be held on May 10.

The state government announced has the date of their “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2012 for all health sciences,engineering and pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2012-2013. The exam will be held on May 10. Further details will be updated on the http://www.dte.org in a few days time. The date for the CET for MBA/MMS/PGDM/PGDBM also has been rescheduled to 11 March instead of February 26.

CII’s annual meet on January 18

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) will hold its annual conference “TeleTech 2012” on the theme “New Telecom Policy (NTP) 2011: Realising The Vision” on January 18 at Hotel Westin,Koregaon Park. The conference will play a key role in defining and addressing the visions for the telecom sector. The subjects for this year’s three panel discussions are: NTP 2011 – Vision,Challenges and Opportunities,Made in India – The next telecom manufacturing hub and rural inclusion and telecom.

City boy wins Global Cultural Olympiad

Saurabh Katti,a second year Bcom student of Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Science and Commerce recently received a gold medal at the Global Cultural Olympiad at Bangkok. Over 350 students from across the country had participated in the competition.

Y Chavan Law College to hold moot court

The Yashwantrao Chavan Law College will be organising a state level moot court competition on January 21. The subject for this years competition is impeachment proceedings against high court judge in the parliament on the ground of corrupt practices. The competition will be inaugurated by S D Tulankar,District Judge and additional sessions judge. About 18 law colleges from across the state will participate in the event.
