A special Sunday brunch will be hosted at Frangipani restaurant,Ambrosia Resorts,Bawdhan from 12 noon and 4 pm. The scrumptious menu includes specialities like Makai sahjadi,Dal panchratni,Punjabi paneer masala,Kashmiri pulao along with continental delights like Grilled chicken and mushroom salad. The chef’s innovations like chilled mango and mint soup and fried paneer pin ball will also be served. The dessert platter offers gulab jamun,mango mousse and kesar pista ice cream and butter scotch sauce and more.

Taste for Theatrics

City-based Aditya Singhal has been chosen as India’s Best Dramebaaz on the show by the same name. The 12-year-old raced ahead of fellow finalists Anjali Astha from Mohali,Chinmay Deshkar from Nagpur,Mehnaaz Mann from Mohali,Nihar Gite from Shirdi and Praneet Sharma from Jaipur to clinch the title. Singhal,a student of the Bishops’s Co-ed School,Kalyaninagar,participated in state level acting competitions through Natya Sanskar,an acting institute,before participating in the show. While he is visibly excited about the win,he says,“It’s now time to catch up with my studies. I will focus on getting good grades and will keep an eye open for acting opportunities and audition for anything interesting. I want to be an actor when I grow up.”

Reel heroes

Children who won the Tinkle Comic contest enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon interacting with the cast of the television show CID. Children from Bengaluru,Ahmedabad and Mumbai were excited to interact and click photographs with their on-screen heroes. The CID team shared safety tips with the children and presented them with certificates and gift hampers. The comics magazine and Sony Entertainment Television organised the competition,where children had to answer questions about the Tinkle characters,Defective Detectives and CID.

Wit and Music

Bangalore-based band,Live Banned will perform a set-list with some of its most popular tracks at the Sunday cookout at High Spirits on May 26. The band’s originals and medleys are well-known for their wit. Influenced by south Indian,Bollywood,disco pop,rock and metal music,the band adapts famous original songs and adds its own twist to it. The lineup comprises Siddhant Bhosle on lead vocals,Rohan Rao on the lead guitar,Tuhin Mukherjee on vocals and guitar,Samay Lalwani on percussion and Nathan Patra on the bass. The band has performed at various live concerts and has also launched their first video called Auto Tune,which was released in April 2012. The performance starts at 2:30 pm.

A romantic day out

Beautiful sunsets with a cool summer breeze call for romantic candle light dinners. Easy on the pocket,these dinners are hosted by Oasis restaurant at Chandini Chowk. The menu will include Butter Chicken,Chicken Angara,Paneer Chilli,Banjara Kebab,Malai Kebab,Tandoori Chicken and Baked Fish and more. The menu is also available for lunch.
