The book aims to bridge the gap between spirituality and cynicism
If the blistering pace of our modern day lifestyle has bought about a sea of change in the way we perceive spirituality and inner peace then it is through books like ‘The Soul Purpose-A Royal Parable on Spirituality’ that we would really pause to stop back and think about the real essence of the same. The book written by Sirshree Tejparkhi speaks about the eternal truths of death and the sole purpose of life on earth.
Speaking about the book, editor of the book,Krishna Iyer, says,”The main aim of the book is not to emphasise on any religion, but to teach about spirituality which is a binding thread for all religions. The protagonist in this book is the son of King Siddhartha,Rahul who instructs his father on the real essence of spirituality and the ways to go about achieving the same.”
Iyer also says that a sequel to the book is being planned and it will aim at showcasing the fact that how after growing into an adult a child loses his ability to connect with his or her inner self and become more rigid in their approach towards life, and how the same can be corrected. “Our main focus has always been on ensuring that the youth understand that thereis more to life beyond its material pleasures and that true happiness is always there within everyone,” he adds.
The book was launched on Saturday by DR Karthikeyan,ex-CBI chief,at the Balewadi Stadium.
