Debutant Conversations

“It was a very good opportunity for a person like me belonging to a non-filmy background. Working with stalwarts like Rajesh Khanna and Satish Kaushik was a good learning experience”,says a jubilant Nayyar. He plays the character of a young man who has just returned from London and is reluctant to settle down with a girl who his parents chose for him. Rajesh Khanna plays his father.

Nayyar has been born and brought up in Lonavla. After his schooling from Don Bosco,Lonavla he studied Law in Symbiosis,Pune. “I have assisted Nabh Kumar Raju for four years and also trained to be an actor with the Kishor Namit Kapoor School in Mumbai,” he says about his tryst with the profession.

The story revolves around Rohit,played by Rohit Nayyar and Isha played by Nausheen Ali Sardar of Kkusum fame. The two try to avoid getting married to each other as opposed to their families,who wish to get them married. The story reaches a climax when both Nayyar and Sardar’s parents become sworn rivals owing to the various twists and turns that occur along the movie’s plotline. The film also stars Annu Kapoor and Kiran Juneja.

Talking about the film,producer Wijahit Kareem says,“The film is about cultural differences in a love marriage. We wanted to make a clean family entertainer and thus this script gave us the opportunity to do what we wanted to.”

Directed by Akash Pandey,the film has six tracks sung by Udit Narayan,Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chouhan. Nayyar next release is Rakshah an action film.
