Dancing To The Verse

Giving a new dimension to poetry,renowned Bharatnatyam dancer Parimal Phadke and his student Saee Shetey will dance to their own poems on June 19 at Tilak Smarak Mandir. The audience will get an insight into a vast genre of themes of poems. Parimal’s poems – Saptasvara,Chanchal Ashva,and Panchendriya deal with unconventional topics,whereas Saee’s poems are more about mythology and love. The music to the poems has been given by composers Chaitanya Kunte,Srilatha Sunderrajan and Rajalaxmi Pichumani. Artistes Mayur Mahajan,Varsha Raman,Ajay Purkar,Shiva Prasad,Ravi and Satish have contributed to the vocals. The event -Kavyanjali – will begin at 6.15 pm.
