He is acknowledged as one of the best-known actors that Marathi cinema has produced,and is most famous for his double entendre dialogues in movies. Though his early life was spent in the chawls of Mumbai,his rise to the top was swift and there he stayed. Krishna Kondke,who was fondly referred to as Dada’,passed away on March 14,1998,and on Monday,his thirteenth death anniversary,the Kamakshi Film Distributors organised a remembrance of the famous artiste at the Tilak Smarak Mandir. At the event,Pramod Damle of the Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad and Wankar of the Bharatnatya Samshidan Mandir were gifted portraits of Kondke. Lila More,Kondke’s sister,and Kondke’s co-actors,Madhu Kumbikar,Raghavendra Kadkol and Ashu were presnet. They recounted anecdotes from their lives,both professional and personal.
