Couple found dead in Hinjewadi

According to the police,Mohan’s brother Atmaram Choudhari came to his house in Jalinder Sakhare chawl in Sakhare Wasti,Hinjewadi,around 8.30 am,on Wednesday. He knocked at the door and called Mohan and his wife repeatedly,but they did not open the door.

When Atmaram peeped into the house through a window,he saw that Mohan’s body was hanging from the roof while his wife lay motionless on the bed. On receiving information,a team of Hinjewadi police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.

Inspector Parshuram Patil said no suicide not was found in the house. “There are strangulation marks on the woman’s body. So we suspect that her husband killed her and then committed suicide by hanging himself. Investigation is on. So far,the motive behind the incident is not confirmed. Family members told us there was no dispute between the couple. A murder and suicide offence will be registered in this case,” he said.

According to the police,the couple got married just a few months ago. Mohan operated a grocery shop in Hinjewadi area along with his brother.
