Corporators take on civic admin for delay in DP plan approval

Corporators of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC),cutting across party lines,took on the civic administration for the long delay in getting the approval for Development Plan (DP) for the 23 merged villages,that has been pending for a decade. The issue was raised by BJP corporator Ujjwal Keskar in the general body meeting.

City engineer Prashant Waghmare said the state government had approved the first unit,but brought a stay to the decision after objections were raised about it.

The state government asked the civic administration to get the survey approved so that it can be incorporated in the DP,he said.
