Childline Pune,the helpline for children in distress will soon have a call centre.
According to the new system,when a caller dials 1098,the call will first be routed to the call centre. If the call is to seek information then the call centre will provide it and in cases where the child is speaking about his/her problems,then the call will directly be routed to the Pune childline.
This will be an experimental project. It should come about by next year, said Dyan Devi childline director Anuradha Sahasrabudhe.
