Awareness program
Kshitij the Community development team of Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB),organised a one-day awareness cum orientation program on Environment and its impact on lives for Xth standard students of Wakad Madhyamik Vidyalaya,Hinjewadi in association with NGO Alert. The programme started with the welcome speech by Mrs. Manisha Ketkar,Deputy Director,SIIB . The faculty in-charge of Kshitij team including Viraja Bhat took the introductory session about saving environment. This session was followed by a presentation on Global Warming and its impact on our lives. Manisha Ketkar also talked about the importance of education. The session was followed by a painting competition on the theme Pollution. Prizes were given to the students excelling in the events of painting competition and essay writing competition by Rajani Gupte,Director,SIIB.
Book release
Chitra Lele,management professional and author recently launched her book The 6 Spheres of Life: Unlocking the Door to Success and Happiness. She has regularly contributed articles and poems,inspirational,technical,spiritual and social in nature to reputed magazines and literary journals worldwide. Some of her recent achievements include The Creative Giant Award 2009 from the Home of Letters (India) for her contribution in the field of literature. She has also been awarded with the Peace Maker Award from the Peace Writers Organization (USA). Her writing efforts have received appreciation letters from world leaders and organizations like the President of Ireland,Premier of British Columbia and many more. Currently,she is working on three books regarding team management,Importance of English in todays global era and a book on computer.
Winners all the way
Two students from Kaveri College of Science & Commerce,won the consolation prize in the Pramod Mahajan Inter Collegiate Debate Competition held at National level held at Venkatesh Mahajan Sr. College,Osmanabad last month. Charles Valentine student of Computer Science and Eebha Das,student of BBA were the participants. The topic of debate chosen was The Regional Political parties hamper National development and integration. Apart from this,Shreys S Inamdar from college (S Y B Com) participated in first Japan Karate Shotoki and won the silver medal in Black Belt group above 20 years age. He is also worked as central referee for the tournament.Principal Dr Vidya Upadhye,Academic Director Dr Triveni Mathur and the faculty members appreciated the efforts done by their students.
