After the recent heavy rains, the city is gradually preparing for the winter season as minimum temperatures have come down by 8 degrees over the last week. However, according to the Indian Meteorological department (IMD) sources, this,is still above normal.
On November 17,the city had recorded a minimum temperature of 22 degree Celsius.
On Monday,it recorded a minimum temperature of 14.1 degree Celsius. The highest minimum temperature was recorded on November 9 at 23 degree Celsius.

She said there was no indication of further drop in temperature.
“Northerly winds that are responsible for bringing cold are still not very active. Easterlies coming from Bay of Bengal are bringing moisture, which has been proving a main hindrance to the cold winds,” she said.
The Maximum temperature is around 30 degree Celsius, which is normal in November.
“In next two-three days,no major change is expected in the temperatures,” said Khole.
