Unions Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Trivedi on Thursday inaugurated the Coca-Cola companys analytical service centre in Pirangut,near Pune.
The facility with an investment of Rs 18 crore spread over an area of 2000 square meters,will offer analytical and technical support to Coca-Colas operations in India and South Asia as well as to countries in Eastern Europe,southern Eurasia and the Middle East.
Inaugurating the laboratory,Trivedi,said,The initiative by the company is a testimony to the available infrastructure and quality of talent available in Pune.
Atul Singh,president and CEO Coca-Cola India,said the investment underlines their endeavour to make India in becoming one of the strategic growth markets for the Coca-Cola Company. The technical capabilities at the new centre will be leveraged extensively across many countries in South Asia and Eurasia and will provide us the necessary support to achieve our long term growth objectives he said.
Similar facilities exist in five countries namely Brussels in Belgium,Shanghai in China,Johannesburg in South Africa,Mexico City in Mexico and Atlanta in USA.
