CoEP starts movement to encourage innovation

Working on the philisophy,I see,I own,I solve,the students want to take up everyday problems and want to use their creativity to solve them for a better society. Speaking about the programme,COEP director Dr A D Sahasrabudhe said,“The need of the hour for our country is entrepreneurship. We have always had the talent in the country. But there is lack of platform for the young minds.”

The programme is unique because of its simplicity and freedom. Students have to just propose an idea with a plan and start implementing their projects. Founders of Bhau Institute Narendra Kale (Chairman,Kale Consultants) and Sanjay Inamdar (Founder,Flucon Group),both adjunct faculty at COEP,will fund the initiative.

Talking about the kind of projects students will take up,Kale said “Every student must follow his or her dreams and I2India is the platform for them to bring their dreams to reality.”

FUEL,an NGO,is also supporting the I2India movement. Anand Khandekar,chief mentor,FUEL,said,“Our long-term vision in the movement is to develop mainstream socially-conscious entrepreneurs with a will to generate employment,money,along with a significant social benefit.”
