The Swargate police on Sunday have arrested a clerk for stealing Rs 1.50 lakh from a vegetable vendors office at Gultekdi on early Saturday morning. The accused Shashikant Manohar Khedkar (36) used to work with the vegetable vendor Subash Pandharinath Jadhav (41) of Bibewadi. Jadhav has filed a complaint with the Swargate police.
According to the complaint,Jadhav gave Rs 1.65 lakh to Khedekar to keep it in the safe vault. But Khedkar kept Rs 15,000 in the vault and made away with Rs 1.50 lakh.
