ClearPoint beat MindTree in inter-IT cricket

Clearpoint gained an emphatic victory over MindTree in the 7th edition of the Inter Information Technology Cricket Championship trophy at the AFK cricket stadium here.

After winning the toss,ClearPoint elected to field – a decision that paid off as the bowlers bowled a tight line and good length to ensure that the MindTree batsmen never really got going.

They batted cautiously and looked set for a big score with the score at 110 for the loss of 3 wickets.

It was then that the middle order stumbled owing to some wayward batting and spot-on bowling.

Mind Tree ended up with 142 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 25 overs. Saad Khan top-scored with 48 runs,which included seven boundaries.

The total was never going to be challenging for the ClearPoint team,who came out with a positive mindset and began sending the bowlers on a leather-hunt.

Avinash Mali scored a blistering 62 off 47 balls to set up the victory charge. They eventually made it to the finish without any glitches,scoring 144 runs off 18.3 overs with eight wickets to spare.

In other matches,Siemens beat Barclays Technology by five wickets and IBM defeated AXA Business Services by four wickets. R Systems beat eClerx by 68 runs in a comfortable win.
