School bus runs over pedestrian
A mini bus of an English-medium school ran over a pedestrian on Malwadi Road in Hadapsar around 1.30 pm on Wednesday. The Hadapsar police said Bharati Vilas Bhingare (35),a resident of Mahatma Phule Vasahat,had gone to the Hadapsar vegetable market when the bus going towards Sadesatara Nali knocked her down. Bhingare,who was caught under the bus wheels,died on the spot. The bus driver,Ravindra Arjun Shelar (35) has been arrested.
Truck overturns,three children hurt
A truck carrying bricks overturned after it slipped over rubble on the road between Jagtap petrol pump and Bhagatsingh chowk in Pimple Gurav around 2.30 pm on Wednesday. The bricks fell on three children playing on the roadside. Residents took the injured children to a local hospital.
