Groundwater report stagnates
A report readied in 2009 by the city-based Groundwater Surveys and Development Agency (GSDA) for the city has seen only 50 per cent implementation, though the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) insists it is being taken up in many areas. The GSDA had identified 399 dugwells and 4,820 borewells that had potential to be tapped or recharged for various purposes depending on quality.
