Social activists have opposed the PMC plan to spend Rs 25 lakh on a study tour of women corporators to Kerala. It is inappropriate to spend money on the tour when there is a shortage of funds for development works. There is no harm in corporators going on tour if it is on their own expenses or that of their political parties, said a statement, jointly signed by Vivek Velankar,Vijay Kumbhar,Vihar Durve and a few others.
