Former director of call centre dupes 15 of Rs 79 lakh,held

A former director of a Mumbai-based call centre has been arrested by the Bund Garden police for allegedly duping 15 persons of Rs 79 lakh on the pretext of giving good returns on their investments. The police have identified the accused as Sandip Gandhe of Vimannagar. The other accomplices of Gandhe have also been booked. Assistant police inspector SL Dubal of Bundgarden police said one Sagar Gawde had registered a complaint with them. He and 14 others invested Rs 79 lakh in a company formed by Gandhe while he was working with the call centre. He had later resigned from the call centre.
