A team of the Crime Branch (Unit III) of Pune police on Sunday arrested three persons,who had allegedly carted away an automated teller machine.

Three arrested for ATM robbery

A team of the Crime Branch (Unit III) of Pune police on Sunday arrested three persons,who had allegedly carted away an automated teller machine and Rs 7.6 lakh in it from the United Bank of India in Chikhali on July 4.

The three arrested accused have been identified as Samir Khan,Kailas Dubri and Milind Sonawane from Chakan.

They were arrested while they were allegedly preparing to rob a petrol pump in the same area.

A police officer said two other persons from the group managed to flee. The police have recovered parts of the ATM and are trying to recover the cash from them.
