No water on Thursday

There will be no water supply in the city on Thursday when the MSEDCL repairs the electricity supply line at the Parvati Water works. The power utility has conveyed that there will be no power from 9 am to 5 pm. This will hit water supply, a PMC statement said.

The areas that will be affected are: Dattawadi,Rajendranagar,Lokmanyanagar,Deccan,Shivajinagar,Swargate,Parvati Darshan,Mukundnagar,Parvatigaon,Sahakarnagar,Satara Road,Padmavati,Bibewadi,Taljai,Katraj,Dhankawadi,Indiranagar,Karve Road,Erandwane,Kothrud,Dahanukar colony,Karvenagar,Law College Road,Hingane,Anandnagar,Wadgaon,Dhayari,Ambegaon,Dhankawadi,Bharati Vidyapeeth area. Supply to areas that come under Pune Cantonment pumping station will also be hit. These include Camp,Pune station,Race course,ghorpadi,Koregaon park,Tadiwala road,Mula road,Ambedkar road,Wanowrie,Kondhwa,Hadapsar,Magarpatta,Mundhwa,Yerawada,Kalyaninagar,Wadgaonsheri and Kharadi. Khadki will also not get water. On Friday,the supply will resume but at low pressure

Skywalk project on hold

Following protests,the PMC standing committee has put the skywalk project on hold. In the previous meeting,the committee had approved the project wherein a skywalk was proposed from Shivajinagar to PMC building and Swargate to Mandai.The Shiv Sena,BJP and MNS had opposed the project which received support NCP and Congress.
