Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) defeated MIG Cricket Club by nine wickets in the opening match of the Cadence Trophy 2010 here.
The tournament is organised by the Cadence Cricket Academy and held at the Cadence Cricket Ground on Thursday.
MIG batted first and were bundled out for a meagre total of 103 in their allotted quota of 30 overs.
Advait Mudras top-scored with 30 runs of 37 balls,which included four hits to the fence. Shreyas Khamkar offered good support,scoring 17 runs.
For MCA,Raviraj Patil was the strike bowler picking up 4 wickets for 34 runs while Darshan Sonawane gave him good support,picking up a couple of crucial wickets.
In reply,MCA managed to achieve their target in 17.3 overs and with 9 wickets to spare. Aditya Shinde got the team off to a good start with 25 quick runs.
But it was the second wicket partnership of Pranav Kela and Raviraj Patil of 71 runs off just 62 balls that led their team to victory.
Raviraj Patil ended up scoring an unbeaten 44 off 35 balls with eight hits to fence,while his partner scored 24 valuable runs. Advait Mudras of MIG took the only wicket.
