Two nine-year-old boys drowned in a 5-ft deep open nullah near Bhondve Vasti in Ravet area of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Wednesday. The Dehu Road police have identified the deceased as Sushant Chandrakant Suryavanshi and Mangesh Jyotiram Kumbhar,both students of Class II at a local school.
The boys had left home for school in the morning. Their parents started searching for them when they did not return in the afternoon. Around 5 pm,both the boys were found dead. in the open nullah by the roadside.
