City-based Popular Book House recently completed 60 years,and has opened a Dussehra-Diwali sale to mark the occasion and the festive season. The sale was inaugurated by actor-director Vikram Gokhale,who spoke about the role of books in a person’s overall personality development. He mentioned that while he learned the tricks and trade of filmmaking from his mentor Vijaya Mehta,books continue to guide him. “Reading became,and is still,my passion. Books gives us an entry into the world of information and knowledge,” he said.
