Seeded players Shriyansh Bhosale,Shaunak Shinde,Tanmay Kulkarni and Ankita Patwardhan scored comfortable wins to make it to the third round of the Darode-Jog trophy district ranking table tennis tournament on Tuesday.
The tournament is played at the Sanmitra Sanghas new venue near Karishma Society in Kothrud.
The tournament carries a total prize worth Rs 45,000.
In the Cadet Boys event,top seed Shriyansh Bhosale eased past Chinmay Bandekar,losing just five points in the process.
Meanwhile,second seed Shaunak Shinde was equally dominant in his 11-2,11-2,11-3 win over Parth Gurjar,while third seed Tanmay Kulkarni got the better of Manas Gadgil 11-3,11-3,11-5.
In the Cadet Girls category,top seed Ankita Patwardhan lost just six points in beating Ruhi Parmar in a second round match.
Also,in one of the toughest matches of the day,Aditi Paranjape came back from being two games down to defeat Sidhi Achrekar 5-11,8-11,11-4,11-1,11-6.
