Bangali still critical

Gangster Feroz Bangali,who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Sassoon Hospital after being found unconscious at the Yerawada Central Prison on Thursday morning,when reports last came in.

P S Pawar,superintendent of Sassoon Hospital said,”Bangali’s situation is critical. He is still on ventilator. We are trying to save his life.”

When asked if Bangali had consumed poison,Pawar said,”We have sent the blood samples of Bangali to the Forensic Science Laboratory.

The cause of his unconsciousness will be known after the forensic reports are available.”

While the jail authorities kept silent on the issue,deputy commissioner (Zone IV) Jalinder Supekar said,”We were intimated about Bangali by the jail authorities. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. No complaint has been lodged so far in this case.”

DIG (Prisons) Ravindra Kedari had earlier said that Bangali was taken to the Shivajinagar court on Wednesday.

He returned and went to sleep at night. In the early morning on Thursday,he was found unconscious.

After a medical check-up,he was rushed to Sassoon Hospital,as his condition was serious.
