When a witness deposed before the court that Baig was in Aurangabad on the day of German Bakery blast and not in Pune,as claimed by the ATS,special public prosecutor Raja Thakare requested the court to allow him to ask him question under the Indian Evidence Act. Thakare asked the witness if Baig used to speak of jehad and revenge. He told the court,Baig never spoke to me about jehad and revenge when we met.
