Seminar on US education
NGO Swanand Foundation will organise a seminar on ‘US undergraduate education: Facts and Myths’ on November 21 from 4-7 pm at the Hall,MES Abasaheb Garware College,Karve Road,Pune. Many students wish to explore the options of undergraduate education in the US after Class XII,said a press release. However,very few students,parents and teachers are aware of the pros and cons. The session will be conducted by Swatee Bapat and Anand Bapat based on their personal experiences. Enrolment can be done at the venue around 3.30 pm,the release said.
Jewellery institute exhibition from today
SeamEdus Institute of Gem & Jewellery will organise an exhibition from November 19-21 at Seamless Education Academy,17,Emerald House,Senapati Bapat Road. The exhibition will showcase books on gemstones,diamonds,pearls,jewellery,western and Indian jewellery design books and international jewellery catalogues. A seminar will be held on November 20 on ‘Diamond Coated Synthetic Cubic Zirconia’ (coating on American-diamond). Jayshree Panjikar,treasurer,Forum of Indian Gemologists,Mumbai,will be present.
Sacheti elected CES chairman
The Camp Education Society has elected Walchand Sancheti as its chairman and Mohini Telang as secretary. The managing board was elected unopposed for a tenure of five years. Walchand is a former student of the school and has been on the managing board for the last 35 years,said a press release. Telang has been on the managing board for the past 20 years and is a former chairperson. Vasantrao Pawar was elected treasurer and Dighe DN principal.
Chordia to head Pune unit of SME chamber
Sanjay Chordia,chairman and founder,Suryadatta Group of Institutes,has been appointed chairman for the small and medium business development chamber of India (SME Chamber of India) for the Pune region for a period of three years. He will represent SME Chamber of India on various forums,government departments and companies,said a press release.
