Arogya Sena protest at Sassoon

The members of the Arogya Sena on Tuesday staged a demonstration at Sassoon General Hospital to protest the use of Rs 50 lakh to renovate the office of Dean of B J Medical College. Dr Abhijit Vaidya,chief of the Arogya Sena (health army),said the amount spent on renovation was unjustifiable,specially when there are inadequate number of dialysis machines,ventilators and ambulances at the hospital. The organisation has demanded that money used to renovate offices should instead be diverted to purchase life saving equipment,said a press release issued here.
