As the Bryan Adams craze reaches fever pitch,Amanora City is gearing up to welcome the singer.
The site is abuzz with activity as it prepares to host the February 11 event. Around 1,200 technicians are working day and night to complete the work. The venue is expected to see around 15,000 persons.
The stage has been built as a slope,so that even the last person standing in the audience can get a good view as they will be at the same height as the stage, said Keyur Gaikwad of 16by64,the event management agency in charge of the construction work.
Equipment such as transparent and opaque LED walls and light fixtures like Synchrolite and BB4 are being brought in for the show.
Such equipment is frequently used abroad and is being specially sourced for the concert. A shipment of 20 tonnes, carrying all equipment, has arrived while another weighing seven-and-a half tonnes will be arriving before the concert, added Gaikwad.
Safety too is top priority, with a fire brigade team roped in to be present all the time near the venue. We also have a hospital with a capacity of around 35 persons near the venue, and the doctors will be available to tackle any emergency, said Gaikwad.
The video display at the show is also something fans can look forward to.
With the venue stretching out to be over 200 m in length and 150m in width, there will be eight video walls of size 20ft by 15ft for replaying the live feed. There will be 11 cameras overlooking the stage so that audience doesnt miss a single move, said Prasad Wagh, senior manager (marketing) at Amanora City. Wedges have been made on both sides of the venue for the VIP guests to sit,he added.
