All roads lead to voters

Candidates of all political parties were on their toes to make the final impression on voters, with many of them holding roadshows and criss-crossing electoral panels waving at voters. Some of them marched across panels and met voters in person while relatives and friends chipped in with their bit to cover as many voters as possible.

There were loud speakers perched on vehicles, their shapes modified to resemble election symbols and rickshaws with banners carrying photos and names of candidates, making the final day of campaign quite colourful.

In some places, candidates organised rallies addressed by senior leaders and party workers distributed pamphlets giving information about the candidate and the procedure for voting. Some of them were seen distributing voter enrollment numbers and information about polling booths.
