After a power cut for two days, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited restored supply at Pimpale Saudagar, Rahatne and Kalewadi areas.
Incessant rainfall in the past few days had led to several technical faults in the underground cables and the area had to be dug at least seven feet to locate and repair the fault, said a release.
Deepmala society and Dwarkadeesh society in Pimpale Saudagar faced power shortage for at least 30 hours as two current transformers developed faults and were non-functional. The feeder-pillar near Lotus hospital was submerged in the rain water and other societies like Govind Garden faced power disruption too. 70 per cent of the supply was restored late on Monday night and by Tuesday, the MSEDCL authorities said supply had been restored to all affected areas.
