Director Rumy Jafry describes Gali Gali Chor Hain as a political satire that tells the tale of a common man stuck in the web of corruption. Jafry,with the cast comprising Akshaye Khanna,Mugdha Godse,Shriya Saran and Annu Kapoor made an appearance at E-Square,Shivajinagar,on Tuesday before heading to Ralegan Siddhi for a special screening for Anna Hazare. Shot in Bhopal,the film traces the fight of a cashier against corruption. Corruption has been prevalent in the country since independence. It is because of Annaji and his efforts that people are taking a stand. We can only add to his endeavours as best we can through acting, said Khanna. Godse plays the “glamorous” role of a paying guest,while Saran is the pretty Indian wife. The film releases on February 3.
