The city saw two heavyweight families coming together at the recent engagement of Swapnali Bhosale and Vishwajit Kadam on August 7. The bride is the daughter of city builder Avinash Bhosale while the groom is the son of State Forest Minister Patangrao Kadam. More than 1800 people travelled from Delhi and Mumbai to be part of the momentous occasion. Guests at the event included Industries Minister Narayan Rane,State Home Minister R R Patil,actors Rishi Kapoor and Salman Khan and director Madhur Bhandarkar. The engagement was held at Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre on Senapati Bapat Road.
Dance Divas
Diva Bellydance Academy is hosting open workshops to teach Belly dance,Zumba and Bellyfit on August 12. No experience in belly dancing or Zumba is needed to attend the workshop. The workshop costs Rs 250 and does not require pre-registration. Free gift vouchers will also be distributed at the workshop. The academy’s founder,Essa Duhaime is India’s only certified instructor teaching Bellfit,which involves dance cardio inspired by belly dancing. The workshop will be held at Talwalkars Gym in Camp from 3pm to 5pm.
