After playing the role of an assassin in the interpol’s wanted list in the 2009 action thriller ‘Runway’ which was followed by the release of an album under his own label ‘Raasta Man’,Lucky Ali has bagged the role of a detective in Daniel Silva’s untitled Hollywood project. The film is presently in the pre-production stage, says Ali,refraining from giving out the storyline. The film will also star Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan as her comeback after the long break. I don’t believe in doing much research about the characters I play. Every role that I have done is based on my experience of the character, he adds. The singer-actor will be in Pune on Friday,September 7 to perform at Hard Rock Cafe,Koregaon Park. Prior to Pune,he has performed at Mumbai,Bangalore and Hyderabad. It’s the first time in my life that I’m doing back to back concerts like this but it is quite fun, says Ali,adding that he believes in being impulsive with whatever he does,be it music,acting or a live performance. The singer-actor is excited about having his hands full. I don’t consider what I do as ‘work’,I do it because I enjoy it. I go to the studio or the set without any expectations,I just do what comes to me at that time,I imbibe the inspiration from around me and I perform, he says.
