As Deepcentral,a contemporary Romanian dance music band, performed in Pune for the first time on Saturday night, city revellers could hardly get enough of their music. The band took centrestage at Area 51 and made the crowd groove with tracks like Russian Girl,Cry it Away and Music make me free.
Formed in 2006,the band comprises of Doru Todorut, the voice of the band, and George Calin, who is responsible for mixing. Excited about their show in Pune,Doru remarked,We were really looking forward to this show. We played in New Delhi and Kolkata, and the crowd at both the places was really amazing.
Trance music is very generic,so the duo needs to go that extra mile so that listeners appreciate them. We focus more on vocal and progressive house to make our tracks more powerful. Songwriting is not a joke for us and we take every concert very seriously as it gives us a chance to grow and discover new elements, explains George.
The duo will be playing next in Goa. We have really enjoyed our stay here. India is an amazing country and we are glad to be here. I am a vegetarian and I loved the options available here. George,on the other hand, feasted on spicy chicken and prawns, quips Doru.
