Wanted over fake videos of migrants, YouTuber Manish Kashyap surrenders in Bihar
The Bihar police say that only one Yuvraj Singh is to be caught now in the case.

YouTuber Manish Kashyap, the main accused in the cases related to fake videos of purported assaults on migrant workers in Tamil Nadu, surrendered on Saturday. The cases were registered by the Bihar police’s economic offences unit (EOU) and the Tamil Nadu police.
Kashyap surrendered at the Jagdishpur police station in West Champaran district as the EOU had been searching various places to arrest him after he failed to appear before it. He was booked under Indian Penal Code sections for trying to create enmity between two groups and communities. He was also booked for faking his arrest in the migrants video case by posting a 2019 picture of his arrest in another case. The EOU had already arrested two others in the videos case.

Bihar additional director-general of police (headquarters) Jitendra Singh Gangwar said, “While we have arrested Aman Kumar and Rakesh Tiwari in fake videos’ cases, only Yuvraj Singh is absconding now”.
The EOU had identified 26 social media posts and 42 social media accounts in connection with the assault videos that turned out to be fake.
Gangwar said the EOU had set up six teams to look for Kashyap and that one of them had been in West Champaran. A team of Tamil Nadu police, which have booked 13 cases over the fake videos, has also been camping in Bihar to investigate the matter.
Besides the three video cases, Kashyap has seven cases pending against him. He was arrested in 2019 for allegedly attacking Kashmiri traders at Lhasa Market in Patna after the Pulwama terrorist attack.
