Three days of revelry, pervasive fashion (read crop-tops and floral head wreaths) and a melange of musical acts ended on a high note at Bacardi NH7 Weekender’s Pune edition, held over the weekend. The five-year-old festival saw a number of performance firsts, with Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi, the All India Bakchod team and even English indie rock band The Vaccines, who were the headliners on the last day.
After The Vaccines, vocalist of on-hiatus band Pentagram, Vishal Dadlani, took to the stage, and amid loud cheering, said, “We’re very happy to announce that NH7 will heading to Shillong in February next year.”
The festival’s first edition was held in Pune in 2010, and added Bangalore, Delhi, and Kolkata to its list in the years since. While there’s no news of the line-up that will make its way to Shillong, announcements are expected soon. Watch this space.
