Wanted criminal killed in encounter

Sunil Mandal alias Sunil Bengali (30),a wanted criminal aho has around 16 cases including murder against him,was killed on Saturday at Deonar in an encounter with the Crime Branch.

Sunil Mandal alias Sunil Bengali (30),a wanted criminal aho has around 16 cases including murder against him,was killed on Saturday at Deonar in an encounter with the Crime Branch. He fired at the police and they retaliated,police said. Mandal was injured and taken to Rajawadi hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

A Crime Branch officer,We received information that Mandal would arrive near Ujjwal Cooperative Housing Society. We laid a trap. Mandal reached around 12:30 am and the officers identified themselves and asked him to surrender but he opened fire,said the officer.
