Traffic signal
The public at Juhu Scheme junction witnessed the traffic management skills of Shreyas Talpade last week and not as a part of a film. Shreyas donned the traffic cop’s hat for a while when he had to deal with endless traffic woes caused by dysfunctional signal and a traffic cop MIA. He patiently waited for a while in his car but when traffic wasn’t moving at all,he stepped out of the car and joined a few volunteers in directing the traffic. Maybe Shreyas should consider the profile seriously.

Lahore goes to Houston
Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s debut film Lahore has been nominated as the Best Feature Film at the 42nd WorldFest International Film Festival to be held in Houston,Texas this month. The film that also premieres at the film festival,“reflects the need and the desire to bring about peace and harmony in the subcontinent”. Lahore is set against the backdrop of sporting ties between India and Pakistan. The spine-chilling climax for the film was shot at Gaddaffi Stadium in Lahore – at the spot where Sri Lankan team was attacked recently. The film stars Nafisa Ali,Farouque Shaikh,Ashish Vidyarthi,Nirmal Pandey,Sourav Shukla and Kelly Dorji.

Sing along with Big B
Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of Emami’s Navratna Oil will soon be heard crooning on television in their latest ad jingle to promote the Re 1 sachet of the FMCG product. Emami is of course in the envious position as this is Big B’s first time that he lends his voice to television commercial. The utter “professional” that he is Amitabh has apparently also aided in the composition of the jingle. He was personally and emotionally engrossed with the creation of TVC and apparent spent hours in the studio, providing inputs on composition.

Men in uniform
Minissha Lamba was recently invited by the Navy to attend their awards ceremony, which was held at the Navy Nagar in Colaba. The actress, fascinated by the men in uniforms, apparently spent the entire evening chatting and listening to the stories of the sea heroes. Apparently, this was the first time ever she interacted with the naval force and realised that her profession pales to insignificance when compared to theirs. We’re glad someone realised that.
