Traffic jams mar Dussehra

After witnessing nearly a fortnight with traffic jams during the Commonwealth Games,the festive season marking the celebrations for Durga Puja and Dussehra reported a few roadblocks on Sunday.

The Durga idols immersion ceremony saw roadblocks on Ring Road because of traffic flow from Wazirabad to Rajghat. At Kalindi Kunj too,traffic movement was reportedly slow. A senior traffic police officer said,“The traffic jams were not so severe considering today is a Sunday when there are hardly any cars on the roads.”

Satyendra Garg,Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic),said,“Slow traffic movement was reported in certain areas of North Delhi and the stretch between Panchsheel and C R Park.”
