Kushal,Kenyon shine

Kushal Nishad and Kenyon Affonso scored three goals each in St Theresa High School’s comprehensive 9-0 thrashing of Andheri’s Bombay Cambridge in a Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) boys’ under-16 Division III-H contest at the Castrol-MSSA centre in Azad Maidan on Monday. Faisal Shaikh,Prame Sonkar and Farhat Shaikh got the other three goals for the Bandra outfit. Cambridge School from Kandivili,meanwhile,beat G D Somani from Cuffe Parade by a 5-0 margin with Nishant Natraj netting a brace. Hitarth Vasani,Harsh Vora and Dhaval Makwana were the other goal-scorers for Cambridge.

Champs Millwall remain unstoppable

Defending champs Millwall FC continued their consistent run by defeating Skylark FC 3-0 in the 9th Bandra West Football League,conducted by the Bandra West Football Association and played at the Dr Norman Lewis Supari Talao municipal grounds. The winners scored through Scott Tellis,Calvin Titus and Sumit Raveendran after leading 1-0 at the end of the first half. Meanwhile,Companeroes SC,who had been enjoying a good winning streak,suffered their first defaeat as they went down fighting 2-1 to A K Chimbai SC in a closely contested encounter. Rohit Kadam and Aaron Fernandes hit the target for the Chimbai outfit.
