Senior citizen run over by local train

A senior citizen was run over near Mumbra station while crossing the tracks on Thursday. A girl was also run over here on February 20,following which a rail roko was staged and services were stalled for over two hours.

On Thursday too,an agitated mob blocked the local services,causing inconvenience to commuters. Around 500 slumdwellers gathered at the station and staged a rail roko.

The railway police said Sukhdev Dawde (60) was knocked down by a local train going to Ambernath. Dawde was taken to City Hospital,Thane,where he was declared dead.
