Sena wants Wankhede box named after Bal Thackeray

Shiv Sena Sunday wrote to Mumbai Cricket Association demanding that the press box at Wankhede Stadium be named after late Bal Thackeray. Sena functionary Milind Narvekar in his letter said,“The proposal to name the press box gallery after Bal Thackeray has been pending before MCA. They had promised to consider the proposal,which has been kept in abeyance.” Sena told MCA that the matter should be discussed at the meeting on May 14.

Two IPL matches are scheduled at Wankhede stadium on May 13 and May 15.

According to Sena,it would be ideal if a decision is arrived at this week. However,sources in MCA refused to make any commitment.
