School bus runs over boy

The school bus,on its way to pick up children,was heading towards the Sudhir Phadke Bridge at a high speed and it rammed into the bicycle from the rear. Only Thackeray and a cleaner were travelling in the bus when the accident occurred. Vadari,who fell unconscious,was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital,where he was declared brought dead.

Local people nabbed Thackeray and handed him over to the police. He was sent to Borivali jail after medical tests. The police said he was not under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place. Senior inspector Suresh Kilje said,“We will be producing the accused in the court on Saturday. He has been booked for causing death due to negligence.”
