According to Tawde, under the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the scholarship exam is currently held in Class IV (primary level) and Class VII (secondary level).School Education Minister Vinod Tawde Thursday took a decision to change the year when students can appear for scholarship exams, both at the primary as well as the secondary school levels.
The decision would come into effect from the 2016-17 academic session, he said.

According to Tawde, under the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the scholarship exam is currently held in Class IV (primary level) and Class VII (secondary level). It will now be changed to Class V and Class VIII, respectively.
Additionally, following suggestions from various education experts on the need to change school curriculum, a special committee has been set up to review and suggest changes in exam methods and curriculum. The committee will submit its report by December.
