Think you can convulse a roomful of people with laughter with your witty observations and spot-on impersonations? You should try your luck at The Comedy Store auditions which will be held this afternoon at the club premises. But be prepared with your best jokes,because you’ll be judged by none other than Don Ward,founder of the venerable comedy institution and he doesn’t take his laughs lightly. After the June auditions yielded talents like Anuvab Pal,Tanmay Bhat and Ashish Shakya,the standards are bound to get higher,as The Comedy Store looks for India’s very own comedy superstar. So stand up and be counted.

Rediscovery
Today,Chinmaya Yuva Kendra presents Death,a play about the journey of an astronaut from ISRO.

His quest for knowing the truth brings him face to face with Death. Together with Death (Mr D) and his personal assistant,the astronaut embarks on a journey that cuts across time and space. The play is based on the Kathopanishad and challenges many of our conditioned beliefs.

For his upcoming solo exhibition called ‘Conversation’,artist Nityam Singh Roy uses acrylic colours to display human emotions. Though he never received any professional training,Singh Roy has always been keen on depicting mythological stories and their essence in the form of rasa and emotions. This inspired him to create human forms in his work mostly Radha,Krishna and Meera.

Taking forward its mission to offer more than just a cuppa,the owners of Mocha Mojo is set to provide a cricket-crazy nation with a unique live fantasy cricket auction. Conceived in collaboration with Latitude 18’55,cricket enthusiasts can select their teams in a draft and will score points based on the cricketers’ performances at the Champions League T20 event being held in South Africa between September 10 and 26.
