Mother & son found dead,father suspect

The police,who said they suspect he had killed them and tried to make it look a suicide,hope the post-mortem will provide leads.

“Neighbours had heard loud cries from the woman and the child. When they knocked on the door,there was no response,” said Bharat Choudhari,sub-inspector,Virar police.

“His wife was hanging from the ceiling fan,while his son was lying dead in the adjoining room. We suspect they had been killed earlier,then she was hanged from the fan with her dupatta while the child seems to have been suffocated using a pillow. We’re awaiting the post-mortem report and exploring all possibilities,” Choudhari said.

Though Patil had informed the police,officials said he did not open the door when they arrived. They had to break open the door.

Teenager murder: enmity suspected
The Samta Nagar police suspect the motive in the murder of Ajit Yadav,18,was enmity and are questioning his elder brother Sujit. Senior police inspector Anant Kenjale said,“The way the attack was carried out makes it clear robbery or theft was not the motive and the two killers entered with the sole purpose of attacking. We suspect the motive might be personal enmity with any member of the family.” The police have not yet questioned the parents who are still in shock. Ajit,a college student,was stabbed to death in his house early Thursday morning. His mother was also stabbed and is in hospital.
