The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has invited bids for the implementation of multi-modal integration facilities at four stations along underground Line 3 — Marol Naka, SEEPZ, MIDC and Aarey. The estimated cost of the proposed work is Rs 7.74 crore, and bidders must submit their bids by April 13.

These four stations are part of Phase 1, which stretches from BKC to Aarey. An official said the multi-modal integration facilities will ensure seamless connectivity with other existing modes of transportation, such as elevated metro lines and railways.

According to the MMRC official, the appointed contractor must complete the development of integrated facilities within two months, including the monsoon season. The scope of work primarily includes footpaths and road furniture, road marking, road signages, zebra crossings, lane marking, divider painting, besides bus stop improvement and bicycle parking, among others.

Meanwhile, the MMRC has commenced an integrated trial run on the Phase 1 stretch between BKC and Aarey earlier this month. This trial will continue for three to four months to obtain the final certificate for commercial operations from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS).
